Just questioning if the black community is or will consider Trump and Allies make a effort to steal the election having different MAGA rig the election. similar with jr. Brush and Gore.
I watched the program last night where Roland and the panel discussed potential strategies for the democrats regarding elections and the Supreme Court and future opportunities. I totally agree with Roland's comments, and also the statement that Mark Cuban made about Biden. Although, some of the panelist emphasized that the democratic party has taking the Black vote for granted, (although valid), now is not the time for that discussion. If you seriously believe that democracy and the constitution are in danger, now is not the time to continue pushing conversations that will contribute to any hesitancy that Black voters might have about Biden. This includes his age, and other factors. He is absolutely not perfect, and I do not always agree with his position on matters, but the question for me, (bare minimum) at this time is, which candidate will support the polices that will give Blacks, people of color, and poor folks a lifeline for justice in this country, because all of this is at stake with the election In November 2024.
Many republicans are ready to destroy the constitution because they now believe that it hinders them from carrying out some of the most cruel and racist policies of our time. Most of these efforts affect us, such as, voter suppression, gun violence, equality, equity, and justice for all of America's citizens. So, I ask again, which of the candidates do you believe will throw you a lifeline? If the Fourteenth Amendment (section II) is taken away, our rights will be destroyed! This is serious business, so we need to stop with the small stuff and look at the big picture. I agree with Mark Cuban (paraphrase) who said that if Biden was being read his last rights, he would still vote for him, and I would too because he is the only lifeline that we have at this point in history.
Thanks for your thoughtful remarks, Diane Elliot: The nationwide attack on education by removing facts of our history is another way to disguise the horrors that have been implemented against African Americans and continues, as well as the against Native Americans and the rest of cultures throughout the world--except for the colonizing Europeans. Embedded in these actions are the wars against women, not only issues of abortion and other women's health issues, but violence of all kinds, domestic, and also with militaries within our own and among the militaries with whom our countries got to war, the rising incarceration of Black and other women of color, and the lowest income and wealth. In an effort to bring more attention to these issues, One often forgotten issue is that the 14 & 15 Amendments only gave voting rights to men. African American women only began to vote 50 years later and were not all able to access it completely until the 1960s Civil Rights moment. Even then, Native Americans could not fully vote until 1965. I wrote "The Constructive Extermination of Women of Color: Consequences of Perpetural Socio-Economic Marginalization." There is great resistence to bring attention to these issues. Those interested can get a complimentary computer copy by sending an email address to [email protected]. No cost at all. I am working on a new book that addresses the many contributions of Senior African American and other Women of Color in a variety of areas, including in music and other arts were we still have inadequate attention and where for many, their contributions were/are minimized by severe violence, domestic and non domestic. Our stories need to be told whild we are alive.
