Cory Booker bashes Trump in Longest Senate Speech on Record

U.S. Sen. Cory Booker made history Tuesday, delivering the longest floor speech ever recorded in the Senate—surpassing the 24-hour, 18-minute filibuster set by Strom Thurmond in 1957 to block the Civil Rights Act.

Booker, a Democrat, began speaking Monday at 7 p.m., aiming to spotlight what he called President Donald Trump’s “complete disregard for the rule of law.”
